End Fed no Tune Antenna by GRPguys build

The QRPguys antenna

I've made the same antenna as presented on the website of QRPguys : https://qrpguys.com/qrpguys-mini-80m-10m-no-tune-end-fed-half-wave-antenna

Instead of buying the kit, I've checked the schematic you can download on their website and also the manual of assembly. You will find all the files in an archive at the bottom of this page.

The design is very simple and useful I hope (you will see the test results when tested).

Parts needed

For the part, I think the most important is in fact the tore, which is a FT82-43 you can buy online for about 4€.

I've salvaged a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and I've in stock the BNC connector for the connection.

Also, I've salvaged some computer PSU and I was able to disassemble some coils and have some tore wires.

The caps are very common, instead I didn't have the 150pf cap in stock. I put 2 caps in parallel of 100pf and 47pf, so the equivalent cap is 147pf. I think it's close enough to work.

3D design

I didn't have the capability at the moment of the build to make my own PCB, so I've designed 3D printed parts for the base plate and also a mean to attach the BNC connector.

It's simple but it works.

Photos of the build

I used 0.25mm² copper wire for the antenna. The length you see on the photo is 20 meters, for the 40m band.
