End Fed no Tune Antenna by GRPguys V2 High Power version
Introduction
I was very pleased with my first antenna at the QRA : End Fed no Tune Antenna by GRPguys build
The antenna is rated at about 10W and my FT818-ND is already 6W output. I plan to add a 50W amplifier so this antenna will be unusable for that kind of power.
So I decided to make exactly the same antenna, but also change the toroid and the wire sections.
The build
I've used a FT240-43 toroid which is known to be used up to 100W.
For the wire for the transformer, I've used 0.75mm² wire with only one conductor. I didn't have some magnet wire so I've used standard cable, without removing the insulation :
After that, I've directly soldered the RG58 coax without any connector and put a 150pf capacitor of 15kV to be able to handle the extra power.
Everything has been installed inside an electric box I already had laying around :
